Artist's Comments

Most people have a conventional outlook towards beauty. I think that the human body can be viewed differently and more effectively if people focused on the unconventional aspects of Beauty.

PS. I just resized it because it was way too big and you couldn't really see it very well.. Hope this helps.. :)

A very good picture--I love the different angle. You're right, too--more often than not, beauty is a 'popular idea' rather than true beauty. After all, aren't 'exotic beauties' all the more beautiful? And is it because they are exotic-- or because they are different?

Anyway, had to rant a bit. Sorry about that! Again, lovely picture--says a lot.

Great work!^^

I definitely agree about this one: beauty doesn't have to be what everyone says it should be. Of course, the focus here is her spine, and I like how the bones of her back show through a little too. Skin is great, but what about what's underneath? :) And the way her hair is pulled back invites the viewer to really study. Excellent. :w00t:

Thanks a lot... I love this picture.. No, not because im up myself =p Its just that it isnt what most people focus on when they take a picture... If you know what i mean... Actually my model hates this picture... She says it makes her look gross but i disagree.. I think that it makes people think about what beauty actually. And thats what i want to accomplish... Im really sick of hearing people judge beauty on one aspect.. ie a face. I mean that can be gorgeous as well but i think that in art i want to continue down the path of discovering alternate beauty...
Thank you for your comments. If you can think of anyway in which it can be improved please let me know. I really want to hear them... :)

out of your photos, i think i like this one the best. the positioning of her body (is it yuor sister?) is kinda, well, intriguing how you cant see her face... really emotive, but yet no emotion visible.... to me at least.

this is really cool lala, really cool. nice thoughts as well.

I agree with your artist's comments. I've always looked at the human body in a more anatomical way. Never the media's way. I like this picture, well, because like you said. It's beautiful in a different way. I love the visible vertebrae and the shadows along the knees. Very nice picture. =)
